Love Tokens
Offering gifts to show one’s love is an age old practice.In medieval Europe,
suitors would bend copper coins and give them to their sweethearts as a token of their love.
To return that love,women would carry the coins with them and never spend them.Though the bent coins of today take the form of jewelry,flowers,and chocolates,the sentiment behind them is no less meaningful.
